Aloha! I'm getting back from O'ahu Hawaii and feeling grateful for the time there with my son who is a senior this year, Class of 2023! He went along with me as we scouted O'ahu from end to end! I'm pretty excited about future destination sessions on the islands!!!

The beaches are beautiful, the people are kind and thoughtful and I feel like the native Hawaiians have so much joy in their hearts. Although we had a ton of rain the week we were there, I still had two opportunities to photograph. The wind was insane...like really insane (maybe due to the rain storms) so using my normal gear of reflectors and off-camera flashes wasn't gonna happen without my assistant (or two) to handle the wind gusts from taking the gear down.

I'll post more images as I edit through them (check out my Instagram or Facebook page) but this day was really fun. We spent all day walking this gorgeous beach and ended the day at sunset. Special memories of a lovely place. 🏝📸🐠🌺

Also, shout out to Austin's Minister of Culture, Mr. Mathew McConaughey who was gracious enough to chat with me at the grocery store while picking out Kona coffee. The one time my son didn't run into the store with me and I run into Mr. "Alright, Alright, Alright" himself along with his family. Good to know he's friendly as I had his book "Greenlights" in tow for reading! 😁 Now I have to finish it!
