BEST OF WIMBERLEY/WIMBERLEY VIEW #1 LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER Creative Arts and Runner Up for Family Photographer. Ever since I was fourteen years old, I've carried around a camera. My "G.G." gave me a Pentax (my first real camera) and I thought it was the coolest gift ever. I was active in 4-H as a teen so I decided to join the photography group and began to enter photography contests. I won my first ribbon with a night shot of my church in Victoria, TX. I'll never forget that feeling of enthusiasm and excitement. I was a hobbiest for a long time. As I graduated from college I entered into the work force in the field of Science (yes, I know ~ completely different than creative arts). But, over the years I always kept my love of photography in my back pocket and once my kids were born, it really ignited a drive in me to capture beautiful images of my boys. One day, I just thought to myself...THIS is what I really want to do. So, I've worked for 16 plus years now as a professional photographer to educate myself, learn and grow as both a photographer and a business person.
