-A little bit about me:

I have studied photography since a young girl and my love for photography and art has been present for as long as I can remember. In college I originally majored in Art but for some reason I started to think that I couldn’t “make a living” as an artist. So, I changed degree plans and I received a formal academic background in Humanities and Communications.

Over the years, I have always had a camera in tow. I confess, I am and always have been the family “shutterbug.”

After giving birth to my two beautiful boys, my passion for photography was reignited to a new level. I wanted to create great images of my children. They grow up so fast. Every parent will say so. One day they weigh 6 pounds and their feet fit into your hands, the next day, their feet fit into your shoes! What? How did that happen? Where did the time go?

So, after my second son was born, I signed myself up for a few college courses in photography. I then went on to attend workshop after workshop trying to learn as much as I could about photography. In 2006, I enrolled in my first week long, world famous, Texas School for Photographers at ATM University. Well, the rest is history as they say. A few years later, I am an award-winning photographer with a thriving studio and business. I couldn't be happier!

My background in sales and marketing for over 15 years has tremendously helped me as a photographer. I have the ability to listen and truly understand the needs of my customers. I don’t want you to like your images, I want you to LOVE them. My day is made when a mom hugs me and tells me how much joy the images I have photographed give her. That is what it is all about…bringing joy to others through photography.

I am still actively attending workshops and training through Texas Professional Photographers Association and Professional Photographers of America to stay current with photographic advances and to continuously improve my photography skills. Additionally, I am always up for trying something new. I like different.

The greatest reward as a photographer is the ability to capture the precious moments in the lives of people. I love the ability to create an image knowing it will forever record the history of a family, telling their story visually.

I enjoy capturing images that reflect personality and character...portraits that show imagination, creativity, and sensitivity. Images so special, they evoke emotion. You might need kleenex at your portrait preview appointment. It’s ok, I’ll have some handy.

My style of photography is more casual and un-posed. I truly believe that some of the best images are captured when people are simply being themselves. Besides, how can you “pose” a two year old? They have their own agenda as we all know!

I like to focus on faces and eyes not props.  I do use some props but my use is very minimal as to not distract from the subject.

I really feel as though it is an honor and privilege to capture the special moments in the lives of my clients through photography. I thank God for blessing me with this gift and work for it is all because of Him.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with you and look forward to exceeding your expectations.
So, go ahead and give me a call and let's Tell YOUR Story!
